Coaches wanted for our Academy

Rugby Club Winterthur has a thriving youth program and is looking for dedicated coaches to continue and shape our successful academy.
We are seeking support for all age groups, starting immediately or by arrangement (with a transition period for knowledge transfer).

Our academy trains children and teenagers aged 6 to 19 from Winterthur and the surrounding area.
Age groups: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U19
We expect the majority of our players to be in the U10, U12, U16, and U19 categories starting in the summer of 2026.

We work closely with neighboring clubs and associations. The academy is also supported by active players from our club – whether in training, at tournaments, or accompanying the teams.

Training Times

• Saturday mornings, 10:00–12:00 (1–2 hours depending on the season)

• One training session during the week (Monday or Wednesday), 18:00–19:00

Tournaments

• Approximately 12 tournaments per year

• Distributed throughout Switzerland

• Younger teams primarily in German-speaking Switzerland, occasionally in Ticino

Your Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a training and game concept

• Conducting training sessions (twice a week)

• Accompanying teams to tournaments (spring/autumn, approximately 5–6 per half-year)

• Coordination with other Academy coaches

A management position within the club will support you with:

• Licenses & Administration

• Tournament Organization

• Travel

• Promotion & Internal Communication

This allows you to focus on the sport itself.
